What Is LASER Therapy
“Imagine you’re a more seasoned “mature human being like me (don’t say old!!)
You’ve been out toiling in the field for hours to bring back the bacon, you had to lift a few heavy loads, drag a few logs around and dig a few trenches with a shovel and by the end of the day your back and your knees are aching and throbbing with pain.
Then you go home and you slide into a hot tub or even just a warm bubble bath to soothe your joints. Soon you feel like a million bucks again! Why is that? What just happened? Did somebody put narcotics in the water? No none of that!
There are no drugs involved.
The multiple biological processes at work are too complex to describe in a simplified way, but let’s try…
You expose your tendons and muscles and joints to protons (otherwise known as energy or heat particles)
You know how plant cells NEED sunlight to create photosynthesis to regenerate? Well somewhere, way back in the history of our ancestors, our mammalian cells have actually still retained a little of this regenerating ability in the presence of heat energy.
So that is what a LASER beam is. It is a highly concentrated wave of energy in the form of “protons” that are radiated into your muscles and your joints. Swollen and painful cells soak up this energy and immediately the pain subsides. Also the cells stock up on a new source of healing energy that they have not used in a looong long time- and that speeds up healing- sometimes in HALF the time!
At the same time, it stimulates the body to release nitrous oxide which is very soothing, healing and calming. A lot of patients seem like they are going into a slight sleeping “trance” when they are being lasered.
This combination of effects also allows the body to release endorphins, which is the body’s natural pain relief system- multiple times more potent than morphine.
VOILA! There you have LASER therapy. It is like you have a massage therapist plus a set of therapeutic infrared lamps- like the professional athletic teams use for sports injuries – only it is “on steroids” much more potent but safer. There are hardly any known negative side effects!
So that is my one magical machine – my LASER therapy machine, but I have another:
If you crank up the strength of the beam and concentrate it to a tiny pinpoint, it will actually pulverise tissue- like a surgical beam in Star Wars.
It leaves no swelling or bleeding and no pain after the patient wakes up from anesthesia.
That is my LASER surgery magic machine. This is the ONLY surgical cutting instrument we use these days. We have no need for scalpel blades.
You know when you cut your finger accidentally with a steak knife or a tomato knife? It swell up and by the next day your finger feels twice its normal size and every time you touch something by accident, it feels like somebody is hitting your finger with a hammer!
